Congratulation to our own VEX IQ Champion!

11月24日,2018 VEX-IQ 全国国际学校机器人比赛在武汉举行,来自全国的16个战队,100多名优秀中小学生参加了此次比赛。作为西南地区的唯一国际学校代表队,成都协同学校的师生团队经过一天的努力分别斩获团队冠军奖(Team Work Champion Award),技能冠军奖(Robot Skills Champion Award)和最佳思维奖(Think Award)三个大奖,同时成都协同学校的计算机科学教师Maruthi Yerra 老师也获得了优秀教练奖。成为当天比赛的最大赢家。 团队赛排名 决赛排名 技能赛积分 比赛回顾 比赛分为预赛和淘汰赛两部分。预赛需要进行7场比赛,分别是与7个不同的小组合作比赛。 孩子们在上午的比赛中暂列第三名,其中有机械的原因,也有临场发挥和心理因素的原因。Jeff家长和Maru老师在不断对孩子进行辅导和鼓励。让他们在下午的3场比赛中发挥出了最佳水准。 特别是下午第一场比赛,Jeff和Bruce的配合获得了本次VEX-IQ大赛的最高分25分,全场响起了热烈的掌声。最后孩子们以预赛第一名的成绩成功进入淘汰赛。 淘汰赛规则是一场定胜负,成都协同最后一组出场,Jeff和Alexander顶住压力,以23分绝对优势成功拿下比赛,从而获得冠军。同时在旁边的技能赛也以23分的高分获得冠军。 VEX机器人是美国太空总署(NASA)、美国易安信公司(EMC)、亚洲机器人联盟(Asian Robotics League )雪佛龙,德州仪器,诺斯罗普·格鲁曼公司,和其他美国公司大力支持的机器人项目。 VEX机器人比赛要求参加比赛的代表队自行设计、制作机器人并进行编程。参赛的机器人既能自动程序控制,又能通过遥控器控制,并可以在特定的竞赛场地上,按照一定的规则要求进行的比赛活动。 在此次的VEX-IQ比赛中, 从机器人的初期设计、战术设计、训练操作都由学生自己主导牵头完成,这不仅仅考察学生的编程能力,计算机能力,更考察学生的解决问题的能留和团队协作能力。锻炼学生的独立思考和批判性思维。这些能力也正是成都协同学校的培养目标。 我们希望我们培养的学生不仅仅在学术上有所成就,并且具备21世纪4C技能(批判性思考与解决问题能力、沟通与跨文化交际能力、创造与革新能力、协作与领导能力)。成为符合未来发展的国际性人才。 作为一所美式课程国际化学校。成都协同不仅仅给学生提供严谨的国际化学术课程体系,更注重学生的综合素养能力发展,为学生提供丰富的综合实践活动课程体系。 作为四川地区最早引入VEX机器人项目的国际学校,成都协同学校通过计算机科学课程,机器人俱乐部活动等项目实现机器人技术在教学上落地,丰富学校STEAM教学。这正是成都协同学校差异化,融合和创新性课程理念的体现。此次成都协同机器人团队在VEX-IQ中国赛中的获奖,更是对学校教育理念的肯定。

Trip to the Science & Technology Museum and Fun Sports Day!

Parent – Teacher Conferences Fall 2017

Halloween2017

Sitting Volleyball Tournament

With Winter approaching CCIS decided to run our first Sitting Volleyball tournament.  Teams were co-ed and mixed ages, so our students were able to develop their communication and collaboration skills while involved in a competitive, team-oriented, activity.  The champion for this tournament was Group A (James Li, Hank Liu, Yuki Huang, Alex Hu, Amy Feng and Kris Li).   Mr. Zhang and Mr. Maru served as Line Judges.
